For years I have enjoyed using uneven adaptations of the traditional "Log Cabin" quilt pattern.  Instead of sewing carefully measured strips around a small center square I tried unplanned variations.  This is the largest and my favorite of a series of similar quilts.  I finished it just before Easter. It seems to have steps coming out of a darker place.
