Series
It
was rumored that nothing would grow in Hiroshima or Nagasaki for many
years. Surprisingly some new
growth came quickly. When I painted this cloth I had no idea what the
image was. It seemed like a
flower. Later I read this poem from Nagasaki:
Near the hypocenter
blooms in dust
In front of Jizo a
red heavenflower
Moriuchi
